sinking food question
hi, recently i got my telescope eye goldfish a large and proper home (10 gal to 30 gal). he is almost an adult i think. well, obviously the tank is much larger than his old home. he knows to eat food at the bottom in his old tank. he would filter rocks in his mouth for food a lot.
but now i do not see him doing it very often. i feel like he does not know to go down there as often. the rocks are the same size and shapes mostly, just a different color. a lot of the food he does not catch as he is eating and it floats down there.
in the mornings, it looks like it is gone. but i mostly just see him swimming around.
he seems ok, lively, having a fun time swimming in his nice new home. but i'm just wondering if maybe he will only maybe look for food at night when the lights are out and i am asleep? should i get floating food? although i have heard this is bad and that they will suck up too much air. he used to eat flakes when he was smaller, but i have since gotten him sinking pellets.
