Is this good for the betta?

Is it good for the betta (or does it no matter) when you make his fin things go out (by his head)

Hes weird, if you put your finger next to the glass he'll start doing it, but he wont get scared of you, you just move your finger back a little and he'll come right up to the glass again.

That wont hurt your Betta. It is just telling your finger to get out of his territory or he kick it's ass 8-)

this is called flaring and i heard from many sites that this is healthy for the betta. it will also do it during mating, with other males, or by placing a mirror.

Yeah my father used to play with bettas all the time in vietname they even fought them. Flaring is a common thing amongst bettas. Usually means get away. Im sexy you want me. sorta things lol.
