Vallisneria blooming!
This probably is a common sight in the tanks of many of you planted tank experts, but it is the first time I am seeing it, since I have just started this tank 4 months ago:
My Vallisneria spiralis has been growing like healthy weeds and recently started to send out a large number of flower spikes with buds! The growth rate of these things is incredible. Now the first flower just opened. Tiny and easy to miss, but still pretty though the macro lens.
Here are photos of a bud and a surface-floating flower.
