Fluval Edge & EBI

I'm looking at getting one of these. Wondering what kinds of fish & live plants I can safely keep in them without a heater. Not looking to do goldfish or betta.

Also, anyone know who has the best price on the EBI?

For the best price I would use google shopping, ebay, amazon etc etc. My first choice is google shopping.

As for the plants... my LFS has some neon tetras in theirs with small very low light plants.

Thanks, only a couple vendors on Google shopping. I guess Petsmart, Petco etc don't carry the EBi. :(

Also, if anyone already has 1 of these & uses filter media other than the Fluval branded, what are you using? I noticed my local store doesn't really carry the Fluval filter refils.

Not sure where you live but you might find another pet store or even one that is just for aquariums. I am sure they will have what you are looking for. I go to a store that is just fish/aquariums and they are awesome. I may pay a few dollars more but their knowledge on everything is great.

As for plants, I never had much luck with planted aquariums because my big fish would dig them up. However, here are a few links that may help to some other posts on the forum
