  1. Default Came home to some guppy fry :D

What steps do I take to ensure they grow up quickly and healthy?

I caught about 11 of them, i'm sure there were more that got eaten. I have the remaining one's in the breeding trap

  2. Default

I just had about 12 today also, all together in the last two month's I've had about 30. I just left them in the same tank and none have been eaten. Waiting for their new home to cycle. I just grind up some flakes and feed them, they go right to the top with their brothers and sisters.

Congrats! I've never kept Guppies but from what I hear, you can expect guppy fry quite often!

Good luck with all those fry.
10 Gallon: Planted Red Cherry Shrimp
65 Gallon: Planted South American Community
30 Gallon: Planted Bolivian Ram Tank

    Reduce The Stress....Cycle Fishless!

  4. Default

    Congrats on the fry!

You could set up a small fry tank with water from your main tank if you want to insure they don't get devoured. Otherwise, lots of real or fake floating plants and moss will give 'em cover and crumbled tiny flakes do well for mine. Guppy fry in my 55gal tend to get eaten eventually, but I've got tons in my two smaller tanks right now with lots of plants & some of my younger guppy parents (who don't seem inclined to eat them) and all are thriving.
