Thread: Angel fish shy

  1. Default Angel fish shy

    Hi,

I just introduced a Platinum Angel fish (little bigger than a quarter) to my 20 gallon community tank today and it just sits in the corner and occasionally swims around the center.

I just wanted to ask about the temperament of these fish. The male better is curious about it. He's not flaring or anything but kinda stares it down.

Should I get another Angel? I hear mated pairs can get aggressive and I don't want aggression in my tank.

    Any information would be great!

Tank is a bit small for a pair of angels... How big is it? How long has it been since you've introduced it.. it may day up to a few days for it to start coming out.. Try a small amount of food, see if it shows any interest in that.

Give it a few days to adjust to its new home. It should be front and center begging for food in no time.

    Hi,

The tank is a 20 gallon, heavily planted, fully cycled. It houses 3 female bettas, a male betta, 12 neon tetras, 6 cloud minnows.

The Angel is about and 1-1/4 inches long.

I think I'll just stick to the one if the tank may get too small.

Yeah it should be OK in there for now.. sounds like a neat tank, you should post some pictures.
