okay need help this cant wait
alright, so bubbles the dwarf gourami laying on his side bottom of his tank, never approaches bottom except for when in his jar cave but hes not in there and really is right outside
tank params are amo: 0, nitrite; 0, trate; 8
diet hasnt changed, filters been working lately, light on normal amount of time
temps maybe a degree or two colder than normal but that wouldnt do anything
his stomach is swelled up... again.
this happened before but it cleared up, everyone thought he was just maybe constipated
but its back, and its back suddenly
and well yes, laying on his side, gasping
not even moving his feelers
im going to lose him. i know this. there cant be a way he'll survive i dont think
i still want to know what this is though
i'm moving him to a shallow hospital tank i made specifically for the gouramis right now so that hes closer to the surface if he needs air
A severe lack of trichogaster.
Just because your Gourami is sick does not mean it is always Iridovirus, DGIV, Gourami Disease, et cetera.
Look at all the other factors in your tank before coming to this conclusion.
