    Default Will plants grow in colored gravel?

    Can plants grow in colored gravel? Does it have to be uncolored?

    i dont think the color would really affect it just needs light and good root structure i think

    ooohhhhhh... Is that all it need?

    Hey Full3R, Have you ever seen those live aquarium plant bulbs at wal-mart? Supossedly you just drop them in the gravel and they grow. I bought some last week and just dropped them in my aquarium and one of them sprouted today. Do you have any advice on these bulb plants?

    Im afraid we dont have wal-mart in AUS, all though ive seen "where the heart is"
    but yes in AUS we have Big W which does sell the plant bulbs you speak of my mother had some in her old platty tank and they grew for a couple of months then died

    They need a little more than light but plants can be grown in colored gravel as Full3r says.
