I realized I haven't posted any pics of the blue sponge. I have had it for about a month. It has grown a little, but not too much. The most surprising thing is that the outflow (the big hole) can actually closeup almost completely. I didn't realize that this, the most basic animal, was capable of any movement beyond cilia moving the water through the body. If you look at the opening in the pic you can see how it looks kind of closed up on the right, that is what opens and closes. Usually after I have fed the opening closes up almost completely. I think this is to reduce flow through the animal to give itself more time to remove the food.

This is the mysteru montipora I picked up today. Any ideas about what type it is?
