Newly Added Glofish stay at top of Tank
Hello all...
I have a 29 gallon fresh water tank and first added some tiger barbs, albino tetra's and Blue Neons. They have all been in tank for past 3 weeks or so and have got along well with each other for the most part.
yesterday I added 4 Glofish...2 red ones and 2 oranges ones....since adding them to the tank almost 24 hours ago...the glofish all seem to be staying at the top edge of water at top of tank. is this normal for them to do this? why wouldnt they swim down lower than the surface edge? do you think they are just getting use to their new home or something?
when I saw them in store..the glofish were all swimmimng in mid section of that tank?...just cant understand why they are not swimming down lower in my tank and thought someone may know more about this.
(they dont seem sick or anything...actually they are really active swiming back and forth)
I keep my tank temp at 76 degree's Fareinheit
once in awhile a few of the glofish will venture down from the surface abit...to say about 4-5 inches below the tank surface, but since adding them yesterday, they generally are staying near very top edge of surface water.
thanks all for any help and replies....ChrisMy Live Weather Website:
