Thread: Well...

    Unhappy Well...

I am down to two bronze corys, but one of them has no eyes! It freaks me out. He used to but now thier gone. I hate looking at it. I dont know whats so wrong with my tank. I'ts making me give up a little...

I know I need to get a master kit and I will as soon as I can...But I think my tank should be fine, I kinda think its the pet stores where I get my fish. They are really horrible. Its a small town and you can tell they dont care about the fish, they just want to sell them and they are HIGHLY overpriced! They have given m ich before and when I bring home the fish some of them die right away!

Anyways I now have 3 X-Ray tetras, and two bronze corys (one with no eyes), what should I do? I do weekly water changes, and well I am due to do some filter changes...I'm just getting frustrated! Thanks for listening

With no eyes! That could be problematic...

Step up to 30% twice weekly water changes and get the master test kit as soon as you can!

Is there any other fish stores that you could get your fish from? That may make a big difference in whter you have healthy fish to start with. Good Luck!

In the meantime, keep those water changes going.
Also, provide some shelter for those Corys - sounds like they are being bullied.

alright, I will do water changes more because of the food debris from the pellets I got for the corys, plus I don't knoe if thier being bullied because there is only 3 little X-ray tetras in there...but i will just see what happens

Sorry about your losses Hailey. You got to get them some cover so they can get away if they are being bullied..

Well, you're flying blind without a test kit.. Try to get one asap..

And water changes.. Lots of water changes..

If they haven't eaten all the pellets overnight (you should feed them right before lights out, or right after), then scoop them out..

Do you have any caves or fake plants for the corys?

Don't forget to add extra Stresscoat with those water changes, try to prevent the wound becoming infected.
