Yes the summer projects have started to be planned now. Mostly needing savings though.

Need to get about 100,000ltr of water storage.
And then build a drive way, do fencing.
Then set up $30,000 in solar and battery system.
All set to start work on half of it.

Last night i was catching with a friend of mine. He has been of work a while with a completly stuffed shoulder. Our free health system enabled him to see a doctor for $25.00. He was told not work and follow a few things he needs to do to stop constant pain. The doctor then passed the information on to our acc which is the name for our free health care.

They declined it because the doctor wasn't a specialist. Due to this he can't afford a specialist so he went back to work while on the waiting list for a public one. Months latter he is finally seen, and stood down from work. He ended up getting confirmation he is unable to work. And in a worse state since he has been trying to work to pay bills.

Now they are confirming this new amount of data and a deciding to treat it as a new case. Which means another waiting list.

Young lad is stressed out run out of money and awaiting to know what to do. Work won't let him back till his arms fixed. He isn't able to do the work at all. His work also filed paper about the injury everything done correctly.

Spent sone time talking to him. Its $470.00 for the treatment he needs, to start off with. Then a operation. But the biggest issue is. If he get the first lot of treatment he needs to be checked after 1 week then depending a operation.

He can't afford the cost to do private. And if he tries to go on a waiting list its one year.

The issue is our free health care can work great. But at the same time the amount of paper work and middle men slow it down a terrible amount.
If they approved him for treatment they pay 80% of his wage. And all the health care till he is back to work free. But its that part of if they approve it.

Technically our free health care is compromised of tax money and a yearly amount we pay and have no choice in but to pay through our boss's of $1,000.00 a year.

A odd fact though. If you come in with a ambulance your instantly covered. So i suggested do what the last fellow i worked with did. He needed new teeth because he took a terrible blow to the mouth from a flying bit of rubbish on job site. He had the same issue. Waiting ages. He pretended for a few days to have depression with his family. Went out for a drink, arrange with his wife to beat him up. On the way home around 3am she beat him up with a bat. And cop found him latter that morning. In a ambulance he went. Few days latter new teeth and a sore head. My mate not to keen on it. But has been thinking about it. Even more he is thinking of private health insurance.
