I have two Colombian Red Fin Tetras, and one Rosy barb in a 50 gallon tank, I am wondering if they would get along with some male guppies and a bristle nose ? Trying to get one tank empty.

    Thank you,
    Karen

That should not be a problem

    I think it'd be fine.

If you see aggression against guppies I think it would be easy to fix with adding to the tetra and barbs so they have proper schools. :)

Thanks, I think I shall give it a try, I can always put them back in the tank they are in now but I am trying to get rid of most of them. Slow process getting to where I need to be to start my project of a planted tank. Lots of questions and lots of waiting for things to happen. Had to make sure these guppies were healthy as well. Still have a clown loach that needs a home with friends, right now he is lonely. :( Makes me feel bad, he hides all the time. So finding him a home is first.

    Thank you again.

My tetras a little and the ruby barb a lot wanted to eat the little guppies, so they are back in their own tank. I was worth a try but maybe they have had the 50 gallon to themselves for to long.

How small are the guppies if the barb wanted to eat them. ( Is it a ruby or rosy barb? )

The guppies are full grown, and the barb is a rosy barb (looked it up to be sure) also full grown. I don't know if it makes much difference but the rosy barb and tetras have shared this 50 gallon for a couple of years now.. they are the only fish in it.
