I'm mentally designing a new tank in my head. Probably for no reason, but you never know. I'm thinking of a 6' long tank, probably a 125 gallons. The goal would be to have the stock list focused around a single, large fish. No groups of cichlids or schooling fish this time - something big and interesting. The rest of the stock, if any, would be based around that one centerpiece fish.

So... if you were doing it, what would that one fish be?

75 gallon community tank: bolivian rams, black skirt tetras, dwarf neon rainbowfish, corys, harlequin rasboras, otos, bristlenose and bulldog plecos, assassin snails, various shrimp
60 gallon goldfish tank: fancy goldfish

I would think you'd need a much bigger aquarium for a largemouth. They can get big! I think if I were considering a native fish I'd want to aim more for something like a bluegill or pumpkinseed.

    Rocksor's got some intriguing possibilities...

Both knifefish and bichirs spend most of their time sitting or hiding, don't they? Might not be the most interesting centerpiece.

Hey I branched out a lil and did my rainbow tank :P

But seriously I do have plans of a 6' long rainbow tank with some serious driftwood and plants!

Another dream is a 6' Congo biotope
