Blue German Ram Cichlids
I have a German blue ram and want to add more eventually. This is in my only established tank in the house. So I am ready to breed them. Any ideas or tips? All I found online was lower ph then make it acidic and raise the temperature. Has anyone bred them successfully?

Many people have. Tips...
MAke sure there's a territory, preferably one with plants, these fish don't breed all that well in bare tanks.
Rais the temp doesn't mean crank it up all the way, 26, 27c is fine.
Lower ph not by chucking chemicals in it but by adding soft water like RO water or rain water.
Take your time with the temp raising and the ph lowering or you'll stress everyone out.
Add a second fish of the opposite sex.
Have a second tank on standby if you want to raise fry. Use a sponge filter which you mature in your main tank.

I've never bred German Rams, but I have one in my 45G and they are mighty aggressive. I would say that you will need at least a 30G to 40G breeder to have success. Also I've read that not all pairs will like each other. Be prepared for that.
