The plenum idea got me thinking. However, I can't picture the idea in my head. Can someone share a plenum setup they built? I read a few webpages saying use fiberglass screen, PVC and egg crate. Basically, building a false bottom. Is that all it really is?

I am just thinking of additional ways to reduce nitrates. I already will run PVC under my 300g sand for the eel to have fun in. It would be easy to add egg crate and screen.

Is there a certain height for all this?
