  1. Default Delete our own threads?

    I'm pretty sure we can't do this, but forgive me if I'm wrong.

    Maybe it would be a good idea to let OP's delete their threads when the thread has served its purpose. That would really clear up lots of old posts I think (which I just saw a post on).

    Of course I suppose that it would also take away threads that could possibly help others, and there would be more questions asked that way. But then again that would also encourage activeness. Just a thought.

    We don't want deleted posts so people have a means of reference if they have the same problem. Each person who posts in a thread also would have their points reduced.

    Yeah, that's what I said up there about the referencing. Just a thought though. I didn't realize deleting posts would take away points.

    Some computer help forums have a mechanism to lock out replies after the problem has been solved with a note to that affect. I don't recall if they are vBulletin forums or not.
