  1. Default sparkling gourami nest fence

my sparklers wanted to keep nesting and they were terrorizing the other tank inhabitants since the nest would float over the my community tank. So I devised a "fence" for the floating plants from the top of a breeder net. The top braces the plants and the nest is contained the the 4x6 area in the calmest part of the tank. It seems to be working since the parents now have eggs, fry and free swimmers all within the plant "fence". picture is attached of dad and babies.

Am I reading and seeing a standard breeding net basket, with the net on upside down?

Whatever, great idea. I wish you the best of luck with the fry.

  3. Default sparkling gourami nest and fry

The net was not added on. I just used the top frame and the suction cup attachment. The netting sections and bottom are in storage.

So far it is working like a charm ----- Maybe some of the fry will make it ----
