New Plants... New Snails...Grrrrrrr

Bought some new plants to put in my snail free main tank and of course over the last few days I'm starting to see those tiny little pond snails in my crystal clear tank Well, I've got several assassin snails in there that should be pretty happy that they now have more live food. I think they have to grow a little bigger before the assassin snails will start taking care of them. I still don't like looking at the tiny specks of snails on my glass and hope I can hang in there until they are gone!

Aren't they wonderful tho. grrrrrrrrrrr I can sit in front of my tank and stare at the substrate and it literally moves with all the snails in it. Too tiny to even see. Assassins are killing off the fat juicy ones, tho.

I don't know if it'll work but I think I read where someone on the forum put down a slice of cucumber and once all the snails covered it they just threw it away... was it you Hobbsy?

Yup. Works when you have a few dozen. Don't know how it works with 10,000. LOL

Rinse, repeat, Rinse, repeat....etc. Brought my trapped ones into lfs and gave them to them to be "Puffer Snacks" They seemed happy for them.
