I feel like a butcher

Apparently I've not yet gotten the timing and quantity of ferts just right yet. The plants are doing better I think.. in fact right after vacation, I was downright happy when I got home and thought they looked super. Then there was a few weeks of no ferts because I ran out and now I'm back to cutting off old leaves.
Hopefully the new ferts will kick in and with the butchery-work my plants will pick up.

I know exactly how you feel! My tank gets completely overgrown if I let it go, but I still feel bad cutting back anything. I have a paranoid fear that for some reason my plants are all going to die and then oh boy I will sure regret pulling out those vals that were crowding out the java ferns.

My hands, they're stained with chlorophyll!!!
Been there with the plants. For some reason I've always had some issues with broad leafed plants. But so far this year, that lucks turned a corner. My Hygro and Amazon are kicking into high gear lately.
My victims though involve Java Moss, Vals, More Vals, Anacharis, Myrio, and Money Wort. Seems odd, doesn't it. Well, somehow I managed to kill off these populations at one time or another.Forum Rules_Pest Snail Eradication_The Fishless Cycle, By Lady Hobbs_Cycling With Fish, By Lady Hobbs_Homemade Hospital Tank_Fish 911
