Just a quick thought....
Would it be possible to feed tetras sea monkeys? I mean they are just brine shrimp... and you can find them readily (for quite low prices I might add) on ebay.

Yes. Although they'll be quite small unless you let them grow out, which requires a bit more effort.
Read the sticky Primer. I've been looking into possibly getting a brine shrimp tank recently and many people on many websites suggest using the Sea Monkeys. It's the same thing.

My tanks are fed brine shrimp (sea monkies) several times a week, my lfs gets bags of live ones in weekly from Holland. So my tanks get them live, and also you can buy them in frozen form, ice cube size in a blister pack. Tetras love em!
My therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .

Brine shrimp are most nutritious when they have just hatched and still have their yolk sacs. Its a lot cheaper to buy regular brine shrimp eggs than sea monkey starter packs.
