Synodontis Petricola Breeding or...?

So I have a small colony of four adult Synodontis petricola. When I came home today two the Synos were acting oddly. They were aggressively pursuing one another. I'm used to watching them play, but this seemed more intense. It almost looked like one was trying to bite the other's pectoral fins. They were moving too fast to be certain.

Is this a territorial thing? Breeding?
I checked planet catfish and found no breeding info.

They hid when I tried to take a video. Now they're back to playing. I'm going to add some plant cover, frozen foods, and increase the WCs to see if that was some sort of mating behavior.
