is their anyone that know why a snail may seem dead... however every morning its in a different location. even on a plant leaf... i amost got rid of it. it may not move for days and just when i think it's dead it moves. i was even going to take it back to store for a refund...

Probably alive if moving around the tank, when Your not looking. If is a trap door snail, if it's closed tight, it's alive. Also, if you pull it out of tank and take a sniff and sticks to high heaven, it's dead.

Snails can remain in the same spot for hours. I wouldn't worry about it and you'll probably find you have 100 before long.

I moved your post to "snails". It didn't really belong in "announcements"?
