My Betta's Tank :)
Just wanted to share a picture of my five gallon Betta tank I took after the water change. It has a Fluval Nano filter(I really hate the assembly of this thing but I do really like the whole adjustable flow thing).
Sorry for the kind of crap quality photo.

The tank is looking very good!
The one thing i would recommend is to get a big leafy silk plant, that actually is a bit taller than the tank so it drifts all over the top of the water. Your Betta friend will REALLY thank you for that. They love to have places to swirl around and dart in and out of and it will make them feel more secure.
I recommend silk plants, as plastic ones can tear up beautiful fins.2 10 gallon tanks, 1 20 gallon tank, 1 Fluval Edge, 1 29 gallon tank, and one backyard pond.

Great idea :) I'm actually going to go out and get some live plants instead though :) I really want to plant this tank...plants are just so expensive in this area that I dread the initial cost. I'm thinking an anubias or some Java Moss and Java Fern.

I've noticed a lot of betta tanks with the terra cotta pots. Do they actually go in there or sleep in there?

A lot of people told me they liked to hide in them, I've used them for the last three bettas and only one actually did hide in it. Although they do all like to swim in and out of it it seems.

Very bright and colorful tank. And very nice betta. His colors are very much darker in the tank picture than in the avatar picture. I love the dark red on light aqua mash-up. I never knew a 5gal could look so large and roomy!
