Grown up Ram Pair w/pics
Well, had this two for Little over a month. They were allegedly a bit over 6 months when I purchased. My male has developed incredibly well, I think. His hair spike (as I'm calling it) has doubled in length and he's gained some nice bulk. She's nearly the same, maybe a bit larger; but I attribute this to her frequent spawning activities, currently on 7th attempt soon.
So, here they are:
Marcus and No Name Wuss.jpgMarcus on the right, No Name Returned Male on the left
Maria.jpgMaria, Marcus's on again, off again love at first site--He danced for her, whilst she was still in the bag, floating for accimilation
Marcus and Maria new plants.jpgMarcus and Maria enjoying the new location for the driftwood chuck, among some Moneywort (of unknown variety) I just planted.--they love the spot
Marcus Broading.jpgMarcus brooding "My spot, Err!!!"
Marcus saying Hi.jpgMarcus, ready for his close up--that or wanting to eat my camera phone, lol
Can't believe it's been a month. Thought it was longer, joking. Been cool to see them grow and spawn more than my Platy give birth, LOL. I'd be overrun by now, if they all were success and lived. Never thought, I'd like a Cichlid, but these two made a convert of me. Absolutely love them.

Thank you both. Can't wait to see them actually spawn some live wrigglers. Like the Err pic too. He just chased off a Diamond tetra before that picture.

Great looking Rams, I know nothing about them But looking at yours they are very colorfull and nice looking fish. How big a tank do you need for a pair of them?

I've been told more than 40 gallons. But for the time being, mine are being held in 10, until the 50 matures.

They are beautiful! I had a male for about 6 months and LOVED him. He decided to jump out of the tank for some odd reason. My new Ram (was in quarantine) passed away last night. I was so bummed! Seeing your pair makes me want to try again. Maybe male and female this time. I really enjoyed having one in my tank.46 gallon bow front planted - 6 Longfin Neon Rosy Barbs, 1 male Golden Sailfin Mollie, 6 Harlequin Rasboras, 4 Panda Corys, 1 German Blue Ram, 1 Apple snail.
