  1. Default which schooling fish can I have with Angel fish?

I currently have 6 bloodfin tetras and I love how they school together. I want to add another school of fish but dont know which. I tried neons and my Angels ate most of them so had to rehome them.

anything that it cant fit in its mouth, and anything that is not a fin nipper should be alright. it does however vary with the temperment of your particular angelfish though.

Out of 9 angels I had, 5 of them ate neons and 4 didn't. Actually, they didn't eat them....just bit them in half.

But your stock in that bowfront is going to be a huge problem. Unless you have a mated pair of angels, you will not be able to keep more than 1 due to the aggression. And bala sharks will never work! They are wild swimmers, belong in schools, huge jumpers and require a much, much larger tank.

So you want a Bala Shark? I would take these back and get some rummynose tetra or build up the school of tetra's you already have.

I will not get rid of my bala sharks because I am gonna be upgrading my tank. I Have 4 angels now and they doing fine with one mated pair already.

i hope you are getting a LARGE tank. they grow as long as 14inches and they are eratic swimmers. you probably need atleast a 5ft long tank for the swimming room. most bala shark owners will tell you to keep them you need a custom 6ft or larger aquarium.

What size is you current tank? Also, what size are you planning on upgrading? Bala sharks can fill up a 100G by themselves; they are schooling specie ya know.

As for angels, its either 1 or 6+ in a small tank to reduce aggression if I remember correctly.

I won't add anymore specie in there, if you have space maybe just up the number of your bloodfins.

6 in a tank much larger but never in a 46. And why we're always told to get 6, get a pair and remove the others. Different program for 125 gallon.

He has a 46? Woops, then I guess should stick to one pair of angels then.

Unless you're getting a huge tank, I'd rehome the bala sharks. They get real big and need a lot of space.

I'd up the schools you have now, and add more to both the barbs and tetras. They love to be in bigger schools and you'd see their personality come out more.
