CAE ( chinese algae eater ) keeps nosediving in the gravel and put its body in gravel
HELP! my CAE keeps nosediving into the gravel and getting stuck i dont know whats going on!
please help!

There was a post on this about 6-9 months ago. Another member had the same experience, but somehow something bad happened when it happened to theirs.
I cannot recall if the consensus was this was a mating thing, or an accident of to large grained of substrate. Are you sure he doesn't have a disease? He might be scratching on the gravel because of ich?

Last I read, you had a kissing gourami, neon tetras, white skirts tetra's and 2 CAE all in a 10 gallon. Maybe he's trying to kill himself over his lack of space?
What are your water parmeters? Always check that first. CAE's are very fast swimmers, aggressive with small fish and need space. I'm sure your other fish also don't appreciate him in their space.Cycling With Fish?•• The Fishless Cycle••
