Just home from work and checking up on my silvertips that I got yesterday, they are in the middle of spawning!! Have a school of 9, they have split into 3 pairs and a 3, swimming sooooo close to eachother then swooping down into the thickest plantet areas of the tank, the females are then scattering the eggs with the male below them!! I'm soo happy, my tetras must at least feel comfortable in my tank, I've never had fish spawn before!
I don't hold much hope of fry as I also have 19 red eyed tetras and 2 plecos. Had to share that there !!My therapist says I need a bigger tank . . . . .

Congrats on the spawn! Must have been the change from the place you bought them from and your tank. Guess your fish will enjoy their caviare :)

That is awesome ScottishFish. You never know, nature has a way of surviving. Hiding spots will help the future silvertips if any eggs survive.Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..
Please remember; every keystroke has a consequence.
