After lots of research, and a fine specimen of ricordia (probably should have tried a typical mushroom, but this lil guy was half attached to a rock making at least leaving one side already attached, and the mouth easy to cut through), I fragged my first coral!

I used a bit of cheese cloth lightly covering the loose piece to keep in intact with the rock I want it to attach to. When cutting it, I used some SUPER sharp scissors. Talk about a really gross crunch... I'm definitely using a scalpel next time!

Is it normal for the errr... 'insides' to spill out a bit? I'm assuming it is, but I really hope I haven't killed the poor thing.
