    I have two calicos. One DSH and the other I think qualifies as a DLH...although she's got a medium long coat...

    Thanks. They were rescued from a heavy smoker so they have respiratory problems. When they run and play they have trouble breathing at times. They are the best of buddies and instantly love anyone that comes into the house.

    Adorable kitties! It's so great that your friend saved them...people don't realize that smoke is many many times worse for small animals than it is for humans, and it's really bad for humans!

    BTW, I have six cats of my own, all indoor. I loves kitties. And, I will probably drool over every cat post on this darn forum.

    I love calicos! I told my grandma that when our super-old orange tabby dies i will not get any cat other than my perfect calico dream cat. Favorite cat color but ive never owned one before.

    They are feisty little things, ek! I have had my share of calicos over the years...and they are the BOSS of thier domain, for sure. But also very affectionate to thier humans.

    Remember, with calicos, they own you, not the other way around.!
