  1. Default new 75 gallon. stocking suggestions?

hi all i have a 75 gallon tank and am trying to figure out what i can have with my 2-3 inch convict. he/she is pretty peaceful i have 2 bn and a clown loach in with it so it doesnt think its his tank and they follow each other around so i was thinking of getting a blue acara, sev, and festivum. the loach will be moved when i start stocking. what do you think

  2. #2

    Default

He's peaceful now because he doesn't have anything to fight with. Blue acara, sev, and festivums are all more peaceful cichlids compared to the convict so I really can't vender a guess. Will pass this to someone who can answer better.

Clown loaches should be in a group but you did say you were going to remove him.

  3. Default

i only have 1 clown loach because he doesn't get on with other clown loaches

  4. Default

the other option is another con, salvini and maybe a jewel.
Also i think it might be a female there is abit of orange starting on the side of it

  5. Default

yeah salivini and juwel would be alright with your con just try and keep it female, consider a jack dempsey perhaps, or maybe a severum

  6. Default

A severum that is the same size as the convict might be nice, maybe a male/female pair but I'm not sure if this would be the best situation for them. Severums get about 6-10" long at full size I'm pretty sure.
Finally reached 6 tanks... oh god, this addiction is getting serious. 75g mbuna tank, 65g gold severum, 55g OB peacock breeding colony, 30g(36x18) growout, 20 long Dwarf Alto's, 10g fry tank.
If I die young bury me in... An 8x2x2 with versa tops and a large sump for adequate filtration;)
