Ornament To Hide Filter
We recently made a nice ornament to hide the filter in my tank. I had a piece of broken slate tile (about 4inches by 6 inches and very thin like a piece of slate roofing tile). My partner cut a slit into a small piece of rock to use as a base and I glued (with aquarium sealant) the upright piece into the base. I then etched a seahorse onto the piece of slate and I now have a natural looking piece of artwork that I placed in front of the filter. I have the filter on the side of the tank as I have an in-tank bark effect background (bought on eBay) fixed on the back of the tank.
