Spam screening?
This is just an idea on cutting down on spam and time wasters. I recently joined another forum, was a reptile one. They have a system where new users will have their first 5 posts screened by mods before they go live onto the forum. So it would stop spammers from hitting straight onto the forum. I know this would add to the mod teams duties but was just an idea.

I think that is a very good idea. Would nip scammers in the bud before they flood the forum.

I like that idea. Also, I suggest that user have to wait 25 posts til having contact info in their posts. That may keep the robots
from posting their phone # and other contact info.

No need I have read this thread. I am by principle against everything that makes it harder for new members to join and post. It is hard to draw the line between prevent spamming and making the forum less accesible. I will none the less think about before making a decision.
Do as I say. Not as I do.
