    Question sand Q

Well this is probably a fairly common question, but how do I get rid of stuff coming from my sand for my tangikayan 29 gallon aquarium? Can I use the stuff I removed tannins with (seachem carbon bag, I believe)?

Normally you should rinse the sand a couple of times in a bucket before adding it to the tank....

I imagine using mechanical filtration (White fine sponge) will do a better job than carbon. It should clear up in less than a week.

Yeah, I only rinsed it once. Now I know better. Will a canister filter be a good mechanical filter?
