Interesting observation in my tank, Any ideas?
Ok so i was taking some pictures of my 10 Gal tank that I just overhauled by putting in sand and plants. Anyway I noticed this little guy slowly crawling around and had no idea what it could be. I snapped some pictures so hopefully someone here knows what it is and if I need to remove it from my tank if it poses any threat.

critter looks like some kind of insect larva to me, surprised he hasn't been gobbled up by the fish. He's not ON the pleco in the first pictures, is he?
Sorry, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at in your second post.300 gallon mega tank: build in progress
75 gallon community tank: tetras, danios, corys, platies, otos, pearl gouramis, bristlenose pleco, assassin snails, red cherry shrimp, bamboo shrimp
70 gallon growout tank: clown loaches, sailfin pleco
60 gallon goldfish tank: fancy goldfish
29 gallon frog tank / 10 gallon tadpole tank: 1 leopard frog, 1 tadpole
10 gallon and 5.5 gallon betta tanks: 1 male betta each, sometimes snails

A clear, vaguely-crescent-shaped, jellylike blot on the glass with little specs embedded? If so, then I'd have to say yes, snail eggs, as that would be just like the snail eggs I saw in my tank thanks to some surprise hitch-hikers on my live plants....

Yeah I think he was actually on the pleco's tail in that picture. My friend also thought it was some sort of insect larve. Think it is bad for him to be in there? Think I should take him out or let it be?

I did have to look really closely to see it, but given it was clear jelly on clear glass, it is understandable that it would be hard to get a clear picture. I'm glad I could help with at least one of your questions. I have no idea about the larvae-like critter.
