Python Broke!!
Earlier today I was doing my standard water changes. I had siphoned out all the tanks and was refilling the last one. There was about 1 inch left to go when suddenly, POP! BANG! The on/off valve piece broke right down the middle spraying water all over the floor. I quickly tossed the end into the tank and turned off the water. Luckily the local Petco has Python replacement parts so I got a new valve without a problem. It sure made me jump though.

Go to a plumbing or hardware store and get a brass one. They cost more but there is no comparison. You will never need another one unless you lose it somewhere!

Yeah, that's happened to me before too. I've started keeping a backup part for each piece so I don't have to worry about being stuck mid water change without a usable python.
