Take a look at this!
So a couple weeks ago, I got a bacterial bloom, some of you may already know. And this weekend I decided to do something about it, thinking the parameters weren't at their ideal levels for the fish. So I decided to start all over again.
I gave away my tetras, and three cory cats. And I got my friend at my lfs to take care of my angelfish while I have my tank re-done.
I decided this time to use Seachem's Flourite gravel, and when I came home I read the directions, and it said: "Although pre-washed, it may be rinsed before to remove residual dust". So, when it said 'it may be rinsed...' that would mean you didn't have to wash it, right?
Well I did plan to wash it, but when I did clean it in a strainer, the pieces were really small, and they escaped through the bottom. So, then I decided not to wash it, and when I got everything set up, this is what I got:

Yet again my ignorance led me in the wrong direction. Yeah it's pretty embarrassing. And I wanted to know if this would clear by itself, or... what? Would anything help?
Thanks a lot, and god bless!Awww... so cute.

Flourish is very dirty, so you have noticed. I washed it half a dozen times, each pail full. I would do a few water changes to speed the clearing up.
It will help greatly to lay a plastic bag in the tank ontop of the flourite and fill the tank slowly. The bag will hold the dust down.Cycling With Fish?•• The Fishless Cycle••

Where were you earlier! You could’ve told me that before I put in the flourite.
Now my tank looks like the black lagoon. I'm afraid to stick my hand in there; I can't even see the other side of the tank
Awww... so cute.
