Goldfish color change on NLS
I started my fancy goldfish on NLS around a week ago. I'm gonna be starting a blog tomorrow about their growth and color change on NLS. I haven't noticed any growth yet, which I didn't think I would after a week, but, my shubukin has started to change colors. This guy was pretty much albino, but yesterday, I started to notice some yellowish orange showing up on his nose and the start of his tail. Now I'm impressed with NLS already, I'll post pictures when I can get him to stay still long enough because I know this is useless without them.

It definitely makes a huge difference. I will get one from work that will look normal there, but next to the ones that have been on it for a long time it looks orange-yellow. After a month on NLS it is a nice bright red-orange. The ones that have been on it the longest are almost red, a nice bright orange-red. And on the heads of those it is truly red.
Mine start growing like weeds on it. They quickly plump out and start putting on size. Water quality can have huge effects on growth rates though. My tank gets about 75% every week and is relatively understocked.Owner: Aquarium Maintenance and Pet Care Company

It shocked me, cause this shubukin had no color other then a few spots of black, and then I saw the orange start to showup. I've also noticed my oranda starting to plump a little. I've cut back on the amount I'm feeding them because it has more nutrients.
I'm on the look out for a cheap 75 gallon to move them to asap. I'd like a 90, but I'm a little nervous of the weight. Once I get a bigger tank I'm gonna get a 2nd canister filter. Then I'll have 2 cascade 1000's. I've never had any water parameter problems, and I do 50% water changes a week.
I will soon be buying this for my marine tank and community tank. thanks for the suggestion fishguy. Oh, and heres some rough (pretty close to exact) measurments of the fish.
Big Black Moor 5 in
Little Black Moor 3 in
Oranda 5 in
Shubukin 4 in
They are all close to 2 inches bigger since I bought them 6 months ago, I'm interested to see how much faster they grow now.
