    What kind of dwarf cichlid would be good for a first cichlid and that 2-4 would fit in a 10 gallon tank.

    Lamprologus multifasciatus, the smallest cichlid in the world. Google it for more info, definitely an easy fish to keep/breed provided toy set the tank up properly.
