Guess who is breeding Barbs...

ME!

I told my Husband that I have a male and female moss barb and that I am going to breed them. This involved setting up a spawning tank for a minimum of 3 months. He said "OK"! I have found the key to peace is keeping the aquarium on the far side of the room. If they are not in his way and he can't hear the pumps and filters, then it's fine. I look forward to spawning the barbs. I have the female in a 2.5g for now to condition her (she was just spawning with the male this morning in the main tank). I have a few 10g out grow tanks. I also have the 27g, which will be fine for smaller barbs, if I move the firemouths back in the 55g.

In the meantime stock up on microworm cultures and golden pearls in the sizes necessary for tiny fry. Good luck!

Good Luck with breeding your barbs!! Earlier this year i bred cherry barbs and raised 22 fry! I wrote this up on my experience. Could be of sue. http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/barb...dingcherry.php
