Oscar teeth
My oscar has teeth i learnt yesterday about 2mm long and theyre sharp and tore my skin do do oscars usually have teeth
Lots of snakes and lizards
1 Golden Pearl Flowerhorn.
1 18" Nano reef.

They need something to grip into things that do not agree that they should be eaten.

Just an fyi. I dont know if you know this or not but when people say that you should feed them "live food" that doesnt mean feed them your fingers. I know that its alot cheaper then buying live food but it can hurt.

all oscars have teeth, sometimes when my guy opens his mouth real wide you can see the ones on his jaw.

They are more of a gulper, like many large piscivores. Considering hwo small their teeth are you can tell they don't really use them that much, just as a last resort in case the fish isn't pulled completely into its mouth.
What I think is really cool is inside my jaguar cichlid's mouth, on the bones that support the gills, there are little alternating spikes sticking out from the bone helping to prevent the fish from swimming out through the gills.
