Pictus 4 striped catfish feeding
for the first time i witnessed my Pictus 4 striped catfish eat :) never saw him eat for the first 3 days i got him, i just put in about 5-7 small veggie/protien sinking flakes, left him for 10 minutes, snuck around the corner and watched him destroy them all !! would anyone suggest feed them once or twice a day? i no they mainly eat at night so should i stick to my nightly feeding schedule for this cool little guy, i post a pic of him as well :)

I'm not familiar with that particular type of pictus or with the type of feed that you are using, but I feed my pimelodus pictus cats sinking pellets twice a day generally. I only give them a couple of pellets each per feeding however.

are you talking about a 4-line pictus? pim. blochii? if so, they are voracious eaters especially as they get larger. one feeding a day should be sufficient though while they are small. especially since you just got him and he's still adjusting. nothing worse than uneaten food in the aquarium.Thar she blows!!!
