Snakeskin Discus
Hello, I have a snakeskin discus, I have read that to determine if it is a snakeskin, to count the stress bars as snakeskins have more stress bars than other discus. I have had the discus for a couple of months now (he is a juvenile roughly 3") and I have yet to see any stress bars. He gets excited when its time to eat but he just turns darker. I also have a cobalt which is the same size as the snakeskin and some strain of a pigeon blood which is roughly 3/4-1" larger. The cobalt will show his stress bars when he eats and the pigeon blood has minor peppering on its face. Is there another way to tell if it is a snakeskin? I know they are fairly dull colored until 4" I just want to make sure I didn't get ripped off. Thanks!
