  1. Default Hey! I have TWO trumpet snails!

    I guess 850R was right--there's always more than one.

    I miss my pond snail a little less now.
    15 gal: 4 mollies, 1 platy, 1 neon tetra, trumpet snails, pond snails.

    There's always more than two.

    Soon you will have a dozen, then a dozen dozen, then countless thousands. It took me a very long time to get my tanks snail free. Lots of countless hours picking them out of the tanks. Actually put assassin snails (anentome helena) in the tank to take care of the pest snails. Assassin snails feed off of other snails.

    The pest snails in my tank are likely Acura physa, reproduce asexually and will lay batches of eggs from 5 to 75.

    Anenetome helenas will slowly cut down on the population.
    Scrape algae amd diatoms if it's not being removed by algae eaters.
    I use apple snails, Otos, and bn pleco to help keep algae under control to reduce food supply.
    Use left over veggie rinds if you have veggies feeders to attract the offending interloper snails, then take them out and crush them. Sometimes that will net 30 odd casualties.
    If you find eggs on the glass, crush them with an algae cleaning magnet.

    I still have them in my tank but the population is being slowly cut back.

    @850r there's always more than 75!
    Mucky

    Unusually I have nothing more to add...
