Even if the tank is cycled, keep a close eye for the next week to see if the ammonia or nitrite levels spike due to new fish. If any does increase above zero, large water changes, to get them back to near zero.

Best of luck and neons need very clean water (nitrates below 5 ppm) so water changes need to be done to keep the nitrates low. If the tap is higher than this, there are things to address that issue - just post.
    Knowledge is fun(damental)

A 75 gal with eight Discus, fake plants, and a lot of wood also with sand substrate. Clean up crew is down to just two Sterba's Corys. Filters: continuous new water flow; canister w/UV, in-tank algae scrubber!! Finally, junked the nitrate removal unit from hell.

  6. Smile response to concerns about my tank

thank you all for your concern and kind advice, this tank has been up and running for 2-3 years with fish who would have produced a larger bio load than the neons ever could and now that the old fish have been relocated to a larger tank the microfauna and flora living in the filter and other spaces in the tank should have no problem dealing with the output of the new fish as for water i collect rainwater filter and boil it before i use it and it seems as this would be more than adequate for the fish concerned as my rams feel comfortable enough to spawn almost weekly in it

here are the previous residents of the tank

here are the new guys starting to familiarize themselves with their new surroundings
