Larger Rasboras
0
Anybody kept any of the bigger Rasboras like Clown, Two Spot, Black Line? The few I've seen look like they could keep up with Rainbows and Congo Tetras.

I have never kept them myself, but the LFS used to have some scizor-tail rasboras (they grow to about 6") in their display tank, they looked pretty awesome - very active schoolers. I remember thinking that they might be a nice alternative for people who like the look of bala sharks but not the space for a school of the 14" monsters.

Brilliant rasboras, they are as hardy as they are beautiful. Keep them in a nice school. Mine are in a group of approx. 15 and they school pretty tight right along side my school of celestrial pearl danios, which is a trip to watch. The largest of my rasboras is at east 3" Good choice w/ congos, too... Same parameters I believe.

The Scissor-Tail Rasbora was my first true tropical fish I ever kept. I'd kept Goldfish and Guppys in bowls before.
My Mom bought a pair for my five gal Tank back in 1969, this was when the guy at Sprouse and Ritz was suggesting you should buy fish in pairs.
