Scraping off the Algae
Sooo, I don't currently have a glass scraper, but I do have algae on my glass. It isn't bad, but it is spreading. Is there any other way I can get this junk off my glass until I get a scraper??
So far the only successful way I've gotten it off is scratching it with my nail... Not a very efficient technique to say the least.130g: 7 Angelfish, 1 Bolivian, 17 Neon Tetras, 14 Serpae Tetras, 9 Kuhli Loaches, 1 Otocinslus, ? Ghost Shrimp

a plastic coat hanger with a scratchy pad attached to one corner. gives you length, pressure on 2 sides, and a focus point. ?

That wouldn't hurt my glass would it? I def don't want any scratches. Other than that I would probably try it!

Take a stick and a sponge and tie the sponge around the stick. Viola!

Sponge won't work for sure. I've already tried it. This stuff will not come off unless force is applied, and something scrapey is scraping it off. Haha!

if you use a scotch brite pad made for glass cook tops (usually red) it's even easier on the glass than a normal green one for doing the dishes. just make sure it's a plain one. not one with the cook top cleaner in it. i have both for my glass top stove. both are red. you just kind of have to read the labels. but the green one should be fine too. i use it on my glass bowls. just don't bare down on it like a crazy person with a vengeance against the green stuff.

I get those scrubbie pads at the dollar store. Pan scrubbers, I suppose they're called. I don't know how they'd work for doing facials tho.
