Thread: Sick Gourami?

  1. Exclamation Sick Gourami?

Well recently I noticed my Blue Gourami has some dark, brownish spots on her head. The tank is fine 0 nitrites, almost 0 nitrates, and 0 ammonia. They have an airstone and are fed a balanced diet with algae tablets(I have platys and the loved it at first but then she fell for them and now loves the tablets too XD) veggie tablets, sun dried baby shrimp(gammarus) and TetraMin tropical flakes. A few months ago I moved to a new house and when putting her into her tank after the move she hit her head very hard(almost surprised it didn't kill her) Could that be what is wrong? She still swims normal, still acts normal (acting shy when you get really close to the tank but still swims around curiously wondering what I am, and eats vigorously).

The tank she is in had an outbreak of fish TB, and I ahve two fish showing symptoms (a baby platy and a black molly). I have a quarantine tank set up to treat them all but I'm still waiting for the meds to come in the mail( I love how the calcium hypochlorite I bought to clean the tank with, after I move then to the QT, came first -_-) Could Fish TB be a cause of the spots? She hasn't shown symptoms of fish TB and the tank has been infected for almost a month and a half (Didn't know what was wrong until a two weeks ago and almost immediately bought the meds and cleaner). I mean if fish TB was a cause wouldn't she show more symptoms or be dead by now? O.o

Either way here are some pics, sorry she moves fast and atm I took it she was eating an algae tablet. The little weird brown spot on her head is what I'm talking about.
