Would this be considered overstocked?
I have the following fish in my 29g. I run 2 AC70 filters and 2 sponge filters each rated for a 10g tank. I do a 50% WC each week.
10 Harlequin Rasbora
3 Panda Corys
5 Bandit Corries
3 male guppies
2 female platys (I remove the babies when I find them)
1 dwarf gourami
1 angelfish
I was wondering if I could add 3 otos to the tank? I have a t5 dual bulb fixture on the tank that produces lots of algae. The otos would be the last fish to be added to this tank. The only other fish that I would add is more bandit cories if the panda cories die.Lots of tanks. Some tanks are planted. Fish include community and bettas.
2 Dachshunds. Angel (Red) and Cookie (Chocolate Dapple).
Shiny Things and Beauty the rabbits.

You're alright but I wouldn't plan on adding anymore after the otto's.
My corys just got moved to a 29 yesterday because I tore down the 55 to redo it. I just left the corys in the 29 because it was easier than trying to catch them.Cycling With Fish?•• The Fishless Cycle••

Filtration Question

I mean, if I remove and replace half the water in the tank weekly, the water isn't in the tank long enough to get polluted. Would it?

The 2 AC70 take up not even 1/2 of the back of the tank. The 2 sponge filters also do not take up much floor space. (they are their seeding for when I need to set up a qt tank or hospital tank. [you never know when you will need to do that with 7 or 8 aquariums running constantly]). The filters are all pushed to the sides of the tank so that their is a relitevely calm area in the center. All of the fish are good swimmers except maybe the angelfish. The angelfish and gourami tend to hang out in the plants in the rear of the tank when I am not around. When I am around the angelfish especially will come up and dance for me. None of the fish seem affected by having all of this filtration. I am a firm beleaver in that you can never have too much filtration. 1 ac70 is supposedly enough to filter a 29g tank. I like to have a lot of fish so my tank tends to be overstocked acording to aqadvisor.

If I had this same filtration on a 10g tank with a single betta or shrimp I would still do weekly WCs. WCs replenish menerals that are found in water naturally. I once herd WCs compaird to air. Emagine that you are stuck in a room with no widows, or doors. Your food magically appears once a day. You are stuck in this small room pooping and peeing all day. As you can emagine it gets pretty nasty prety quickly. Your only relief comes when some of that air and a little bit of that waist is removed by some vacume in the roof. That freshins things up for a little while but not long, maybe a week. There is a device in the room that removes some of the poop, but it does not remove it all. This is what a fish tank is like. You should now see why WCs are important to the well being of the fish.
I hope that I have not confused you even more. It is late here and I should be in bed. I appologise for all the misspelled words.Lots of tanks. Some tanks are planted. Fish include community and bettas.

I would not put a dwarf gourami and an angel in a 29G tank, That will not be pretty when it goes bad.
PS - Every misspelled word is underlined in red as you type it as a heads up. If you use the wrong form though:Their/There or two/Too/To.. That's on you.

I was thinking the same but he already has the gourami and angel and mentioned no problem. I'm no gourami lover on a good day.

The angel's body is ~3inches in diameter. The gourami tends to stay out of the angels way. I have not noticed any aggression between them yet. If need be I have a couple of other tanks that the gourami might be able to move into. (a 20gH split male betta tank that has 6 compartments each with a single male betta. I also have a 10g split male betta tank that for now only houses 2 male bettas [I actually have a total of 12 bettas, 8 males and 4 females]).
I did a lot of thinking before I got the angelfish. What convinced me was that the owners of a lfs that specializes in cichlids told me that it would work. They lost $ on the angelfish that I got. It is a $15 angelfish and I traded them a couple of bunches of wisteria and a few stems of cabomba for the fish. I got out good.Lots of tanks. Some tanks are planted. Fish include community and bettas.

I have no idea why being a cichlid specialist counts considering Gourami are not cichlids, But ok.

Is the gourami a juvie possibly? The angel sounds like a newer arrival, I am curious how long they have been together in this tank.I have six words for you.
