  1. Default Are they pregnant?

I'm not sure if pregnant is the right word but I have an otto and a white cloud mountain minnow who both look quite fat. I've added a few pics so can anyone tell me if I'm likely to have babies soon?

The minnow pics are all of the same fish. Sorry the qualities not great but they were took on an iPod and the fish wouldn't sit still.

Otto's and Minnows are egg laying fish. The minnow are probably scatterer's. Never kept them, so am not going to be precise on them. But the Otto just looks gorged on food to me. The Minnow looks loaded up with eggs. Hope that helps.

That definitely helps bignellm . The ottos are a recent addition and I know they can be delicate fish so it's great to know they're eating well.

As for the minnow I thought she looked fatter than the other girls an my male is displaying a lot and showing her a lot of interest.

Would RCS eat any eggs they lay? I read somewhere they keep the eggs clean but I'm not sure if it's true.

You will likely want to get that otto some peas or other vegetables. He might be a little constipated....although mine will go through phases where they look lime that too....and then they poop a lot.

I didn't know they could get constipated . I have some peas growing in my garden (totally organic) would they be ok or are frozen better so they're softer? Do I just throw the peas in or do I have to do something with them first? There are lots of green otto poos everywhere so I think the others must be ok I wonder why this one is constipated?

Blanche the peas in some water and microwave. Long as your garden variety don't get pesticides, should be good to go. Blanche, peel, squish, drop in.

Does anyone have a picture of white cloud eggs?
